James Gregg |  Photography

James will intimidate you as the contract killer in The Janitor and inspire you as a boxing coach in The big calzone. the crazy thing is that he is even more impressive behind the camera.

James is a photographer and editor based in Austin, Texas currently serving as the Deputy Director of Video and Photography at the Austin American-Statesman.

In 2009 he was named NPPA’s Best of Photojournalism Photographer of the Year for smaller markets while at the Arizona Daily Star, and was the Arizona Photographer of the Year in 2008 and 2009. In 2010 James started working with video in addition to still photography and became a 9-time regional Emmy award recipient.

While all of that is incredibly impressive, his most impressive anecdote was for his portrayal of The Janitor in the short film that Moostache produced in less than 48 hours. For 47 of those hours James was dealing with a badly severed finger that took him and the production team into the emergency room for several hours. They never stopped the production.
